Terry Fox Run & Pancake Breakfast
The staff and students of H. E. Bourgoin are very excited to participate in the H.E Bourgoin Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 20, 2024. Grades 5 through 8 classes will complete the run as a group and will gather in classes by the football uprights. The start of the race will be staggered. Starting at 1:15 pm, the grade 8 classes will go first, 5 minutes later the grade 5’s, then the grade 6’s, and finally the grade 7’s.
This is the 44th year of Terry’s Marathon of Hope! To honor the legacy of Terry Fox, let’s use his courage and determination to inspire us to celebrate this year. HEB has proudly been participating in the Terry Fox Run for 24 years. This year our goal is to raise $2500.00 for cancer research.
Donating to the Terry Fox Foundation
- Pancake breakfast on Friday, September 20, 2024. Students can donate $5 or more to the Terry Fox Run/Walk that day. Everyone gets pancake breakfast whether they donate or not.
- If your child would like to take on the challenge of raising funds from family and friends, he/she is certainly welcome to do so. Online donations can be done by visiting, https://schools.terryfox.ca/71736
Parent Volunteers Needed:

- Each homeroom class is looking for supervisors for the walk. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher or return the bottom portion of this letter.
- Each homeroom also needs parent volunteers to cook, serve, and clean up on the morning of the Terry Fox Run; Friday, September 20 from 7:30am-10:30am
