 Real8 is a unique Northern Lights School Division program funded by the Alberta Initiative for School Improvement. Through focused study of the Alberta curriculum using experiential hands on learning, grade 8 students are able to link real life experiences and knowledge to learning that is happening in their classrooms. Lesson activities are implemented in a manner that enables students to build positive relationships with both their classmates and teachers. The goal of the REAL 8 program is to engage students in deconstructing their learning, knowledge and experiences through follow up activities in the classroom. REAL8 activities are directly tied to learning outcomes found in the grade 8 curriculum.
